The following Codes of Practice are approved under legislation administered by NT WorkSafe to help duty holders achieve compliance with the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011 and Regulations. Homeowners or DIY home renovators may find some useful information in the Codes of Practice or in other asbestos-related publications available in Australia.
The guides and fact sheets below have been published in Australia by the various Work Health and Safety Regulators, and other government agencies responsible for providing information to manage the risks associated with asbestos. Territorians should be aware that other states and territories may prescribe additional requirements for asbestos beyond what is legislated in the Northern Territory.
